Other Machine Types
Including MEWPs, Overhead Cranes and Lorry Loaders
Operators have died when trapped in the MEWP basket or when the machine has overturned. Great care must be taken to select the most appropriate MEWP and ensure that the use of the machine is properly planned and managed. Operator instruction and training are very important requirements.

In addition to lift trucks, RTC offer training on many other machine types too. The same novice, existing, refresher, conversion and bespoke options are available for the following:

Overhead Factory Cranes - whether controlled from up in a cabin, or down on the ground, using pendant or remote controls, we have been training crane operators as long as we have FLT operators. Because RTITB have only recently added a standardised course to their accreditation, we have years of experience of customising our course to meet your needs. We also offer Slinging and Signalling courses.

Lorry-Mounted Hydraulic Loaders - One of our customers is one of the industry's leading provider of such cranes, and RTC Training were involved in the production of RTITB's latest Trainer's Guide for these machine types.

Mobile Elevated Working Platforms - The HSE state that, "It is important to select the right MEWP for the job and site." RTC train on most types of MEWP and although the RTITB have significantly reduced their minimum allowed training durations, we will work with you to ensure the training meets the actual requirements for the job and your site.

We are always available to discuss, free-of-charge, any issues that you may have around training in general. Our philosophy is that if you trust us for advice, you're more likely to book us for training.

RTC will support what we do for as long as you need.
